Nesta atividade os alunos analisarão alguns dados na forma de tabela e de imagens da Amazônia Legal, obtidos por sensoriamento remoto, para discutirem e refletirem sobre as causas e consequências do desmatamento.

Ilustração com desenhos feitos e pintados a mão que trazem uma reflexão das ações antrópicas em relação ao bioma Mata Atlântica, de um lado temos um retrato da diversidade, com espécies endêmicas do bioma e com árvores e cores, e do outro lado temos a destruição em massa dessa biodiversidade, pelo desmatamento e pelas queimadas.

A ilustração tem por intuito apresentar possíveis atuações da biologia sintética. A ilustração é separada em quatro figuras: A primeira no canto superior esquerdo apresenta a utilização de microrganismos para limpeza e biorremediação de ambientes marinhos. A segunda figura, no canto superior esquerdo, apresenta a utilização de plantas e algas na criação de combustíveis renováveis como alternativa aos fósseis. A terceira imagem, no canto inferior esquerdo apresenta plantas geneticamente modificadas sendo utilizadas pra um melhoramento do solo e também resistência à pragas.
