Planning, construction and application of didactic models of cell and molecular biology by undergraduate students of biological sciences

This article describes the process of construction and application of low-cost models in the field of cell and molecular biology. The microscopic character of the contents in these two disciplines may turn the didactic approach too abstractional, difficulting the learning process. At the same time, the lack of laboratories and equipments in many schools compromises the teaching of these disciplines. In this context, undergraduate students of biological sciences developed and applied seven models with secondary students at a public school, used as didactic materials to support the Biology discipline content. The results were very positive both for secondary and undergraduate students.
