Regulation of Cellular Metabolism - A Summary.

The aim of this work is to review the main processes involved on the regulation of cell metabolism. Concerning enzymatic regulation two aspects are focused, allosteric and hormonal regulation. This article shows as the energetic profile of the cell straightly influences intra and extracellular metabolic regulation, the importance of phosphorylation mechanisms for enzymatic regulation and how principal metabolic pathways are reciprocally and antagonistically regulated.
